Installation is basically the same as other 3rd gen Tacoma grilles, for instance trd pro style grille.

My wife got me this grill for a Yule gift and I love it. It looks great. Everything lined up and fit great. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so…Two of the LED’s were a little too tight in the grill for my comfort, but a couple minutes with a file on the honeycomb took care of that. Also, I noticed a tiny bit of extra material on the bottom of the letters(like a tab from the molding process), but my trusty razor knife took care of that. Directions would have been nice, but 20 minutes on you tube and I had it figured out. Very straight forward. I did it myself (not a mechanic) and taking my time, it took me a couple hours total. Love the look of it.
The new grill seems solid and I like that it is all black. Easy to put together and install. Looks great
